Our guest speaker is Abdullah al Andalusi who will deliver a talk on the experiences and challenges of Muslim converts in the West. The event will be chaired and hosted by Lauren Booth who will also give an insight into her own personal journey in Islam. There will be opportunity for a Q&A session at the end.

About our guests:

Abdullah al Andalusi is an international speaker, thinker and intellectual activist for Islam and Muslim affairs. He has written and spoken extensively on Islamic theology, history and politics. Abdullah has appeared on various TV channels, radio stations and has been invited to speak at many events. Abdullah has spoken at the Oxford Union and has debated many high profile individuals. Abdullah embraced Islam as a teenager and is from a mixed Portuguese and North African background.

Lauren Booth is a journalist and broadcaster who has worked for The Evening Standard and New Statesman as well as presenting on TV stations including the Islam Channel, Press TV and Al Jazeera. Lauren has spoken at many high profile debates and events and has been involved in various charity work and activism. Lauren embraced Islam in 2010.
