Join us for an exclusive dinner with a keynote speech from the renowned international journalist and broadcaster Mehdi Hasan. The dinner is set for the 2nd of March 2018.
Two thirds of the world’s illiterate population are women. This special evening is dedicated to Girls’ education which is a priority thematic area for Muslim Aid’s global work. With over 30 years of experience, our identity as British and Muslim has granted huge access enabling real impact-driven progress. We are able to inspire change through shifting the mind-sets in some of the most sensitive communities around the world.
Not forgetting the needy here at home, Muslim Aid has been highly commended for spearheading various community-led domestic projects, most notably the successful #BigFoodDrive in partnership with Crisis UK, and for its significant role in mobilising the Muslim community response following the Grenfell Tower tragedy.
At a time where xenophobia has clouded political discourse, Mehdi Hasan will be sharing his thoughts on the future of British Muslims and his current experiences of being a Muslim in President Trump’s America.
